Descriptions

Southwest Fireproofing Type DKTM is a factory blended spatter coat that is mixed with water on the job and spray-applied with standard industry equipment.

Some Underwriters Laboratories Fire Resistive Designs require the use of Type DKTM spatter coat on some surfaces prior to fireproofing application. It is also permitted on other substrates to provide improved adhesion. Type DKTM is included as part of the fireproofing thickness.

Specific Uses

Type DKTM is used to provide improved adhesion when required by specific UL fire resistive designs.
